On Wednesday, October 9, 2013 Mike attended the dedication ceremony for the upgraded 50th Street corridor in Beaumont.
Mike, along with MLA George Rogers and Beaumont Mayor Camille Bérubé, celebrated the occasion, saying, “Our government is proud to have invested in the construction of Beaumont’s 50th Street and 50th Avenue corridor as it will help revitalize the downtown core. This infrastructure investment will make everyday travel safer and more convenient for local residents, business and visitors, and has helped create jobs, and encouraged economic growth and long-term prosperity.
Under the Communities component of the Building Canada Fund, the Government of Canada has invested in important projects across the west with matching contributions from the provinces. Thousands of Alberta residents are now enjoying the benefits of this significant investment to Canada’s and Alberta’s public infrastructure.
