Today, the Shaw Conference Centre hosted Homeless Connect Edmonton for the 18th time. The event is held twice a year, in the spring and in the fall, and Mike has only missed two of the 18 events. It is his role to greet every guest with a smile and warm welcome as they walk in the door. The mission is something very close to Mike’s heart – providing services to those experiencing, or on the verge of experiencing, homelessness. Mike was thrilled to have the opportunity to join nearly 300 volunteers to assist over 1,500 visitors throughout the day.
