Mike Meets Top Canadian Innovators Wednesday, 15 April 2015 While in Montréal and Toronto, Mike explored research centres at some of Canada's largest universities.

At Concordia University, Mike learned about the projects underway at the District 3 Centre (pictured with MakerBloks founder Francois Poirier), an innovative incubator which "aims to bring together creative people, entrepreneurs, engineers and partners who can meet and leverage each other's skills and expertise."

While visiting Ryerson University, Mike had a chance to see the top-ranked university incubator in Canada, and fifth in the world, Digital Media Zone, which "helps startups succeed by connecting them with customers, advisors, influencers and other entrepreneurs."

Mike also explored the Impact Centre at the University of Toronto. The Impact Centre "operates at the nexus of chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, materials science, nanotechnology and photonics, and strives to harness the collective expertise and untapped potential of the university community."
