National Flag Day of Canada Thursday, 15 February 2007 On February 15th Canadians in every province and territory mark National Flag of Canada Day – a unique opportunity for each of us to honour the most recognizable and cherished symbol of this country.

Each year on Flag Day, we reaffirm our pride in the Canadian flag.  It is the banner that represents sacrifice, devotion to duty, our history, hopes and dreams.  This is a day to reflect on the reasons for being proud to be Canadian; it is an occasion to celebrate the symbols and collective heritage that unite our diverse cultures, customs and traditions, and provide us with a sense of identity and belonging.
