Need a Summer Job? Friday, 27 April 2007 Finding summer work can be tough. This year, simplify your search by visiting a Service Canada Centre for Youth (SCCY)!

SCCYs can help you with your search for summer work.  They are staffed with students just like you who can help you find a job, prepare your resume, give you interview tips and offer career planning advice.  You can also find out about wage rates, health and safety in the workplace, and other federal, provincial and territorial initiatives.

SCCYs are part of the Government of Canada’s Summer Work Experience program.  The Summer Work Experience program includes many other Government of Canada work initiatives geared towards helping you get a job in a field that interests you.  These initiatives range from First Nations and Inuit Student Summer Employment Opportunities, offered by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, to Industry Canada’s Student Connections, to Young Canada Works, offered by the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Parks Canada Agency.

The SCCY Edmonton opens on May 4, 2007 and will close August 10, 2007.  Please see the office contact information at the bottom of the page for office hours and location.
